Longwalk's House Rules
Unless specified below, only content from the core books (Player's handbook,
Dungeons Master's Guide and Monster Manual) is allowed in Longwalk.
Game Version
- We are now using 3.5 rules throughout.
Equipment
- The spike chain is banned until further notice.
- Weapons, Armor, Gear, etc. is limited to that found in the players
handbook.
- The light hammer's damage is 1d4+1 rather than 1d4.
Race
- Races from the players handbook are allowed except:
- Beyond the standard races in the Players Handbook, the following races
are allowed:
Classes
- The following base classes from the players handbook are banned: Paladin,
Monk and Sorcerer.
- Clerics must be lafully aligned patron of Olindo.
- The following additional base classes are available:
- Divine spell casters must belong to one of three pathos's:
- lawful characters follow Olindo.
- ethically neutral characters follow Endool.
- chaotic characters follow one or more god of Chaos.
- The following prestige classes are available:
There are no regional prestige classes available in this region
Skills
- Only skills from the players hand book are allowed.
Feats
- All feats from the players handbook are allowed.
- Additionally the following feats are allowed:
There are no regional feats available in this region
Languages
- There is no "common" language, however all creatures native
to longwalk receive gnome as an automatic language.
Character creation
- All rolls must be performed in front of the DM.
- Characters are created using point buy (32 points).
- Characters may start with "starting packages" based on class
or by rolling starting wealth (players handbook p.95)
- New characters start one level lower than the lowest level member
of the current party.
Spells
- Unless specified below, only spells from the Players Handbook are
allowed (7/30/2003)
- Druids do not have access to standard cure spells, instead they have
regeneration spells. For a full list of spells click
